Herzánovi: Neuburger 2018

If you’re looking for a white wine with lots of character and structure, this is your wine. It’s not a light, fruity white. It was bottled in 2018 so it had plenty of time to think about life. It’s full-bodied and complex, with aromas of lemon, pear and herbs. Smokey character comes from 12 months in oak barrels while hints of petrol and almonds are derived from ageing. It would go great with roasted chicken or creamy sauces. Serve slightly chilled.
