Jaroslav Osička: Pinot Gris 2021

A full bodied, round Pinot Gris made from grapes growing on gentle, south-east facing slopes. Aromas and flavours of white peach and wet stones. 18-month oak aging (Czech and Hungarian oak barrels) imparted aromas and flavours of vanilla, nutmeg and clove while malolactic fermentation developed characteristics of butterscotch and cream. Complex, round and well balanced. Pairs superbly with roasted pork, creamy risottos and pumpkin/squash dishes. Serve slightly chilled.
