Punkista: Chardonnay | Pinot Noir Brut 2018

Punkista has been gaining a following over the last years due to the amazing level of quality adhered to, reminding us of top-level grower Champagne. With this wine, Robert is turning to the classical Champagne varieties of Pinot Noir (60%) coming from a 16 year old vineyard with clay soil and Chardonnay (40%) coming from a 28 year old vineyard with loess soil.

Expect an elegant yet complex wine, with a fantastic perlage. Apple, kiwi, pear, honey, citrus fruit, brioche. There’s a lot going on in this wine and it’s beautiful to see how it opens up with more air. Serve it from a larger white wine glass and you’ll be rewarded. An excellent aperitif for any special occasion and a versatile partner for food pairing in fine-dining.
