Roxanich: Mara Rosé 2011

Now, there is not enough space to say all that we want to about this wine. Not your typical rosé by a thousand miles. You know those white hard candies that are made in France, but also Latin America? They are violet or lilac & can sometimes remind one of the smell of freshly washed clothing because of their florality? Trying this wine, we were stupefied & couldn’t find the words until we realized that those candies were hiding somewhere in there. Then afterwards… a little ripe summer tomato? Followed by some classic red berry stuff you would expect out of a rosé. Look, just get this wine. You will not regret it. It is aged for 10 years before we get to give it to you. Drink a bit warmer than your average rosé & quickly.
