Zdeněk Omasta: Identity Cuvée 2020

A blend of Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling coming from 30- and 70-year-old vines. In this wine, Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling are best buddies. Typical aromas of Grüner Veltliner - starfruit, white pepper, crushed gravel - compliment the aromas of Welschriesling - crisp citruses and green apples. This friendship has been going on since 2020 so there are also aging aromas of almond and hay present. Old vines and 24-hour skin contact add intensity to the wine. Fermented and matured in French oak. Complex yet very approachable. Serve chilled.
