Chardonnay 2021 is a quietly confident white from the Herzánovi family in Kobylí—aged for 11 months in older oak barrels for the perfect balance of fruit and oak notes. It’s rich but precise, textured yet super drinkable. A beautifully made wine with spot-on acidity that makes it a dream for food pairing.

What makes this wine special? Fermented with native yeasts and aged on lees in neutral oak, this Chardonnay balances freshness with gentle depth. Green pear, citrus peel, toasted almonds, and a hint of brioche. No fining, no filtering, no additives—just a true expression of the Kobylí terroir in the bottle.

This bottle is perfect for... long lunches – elevated weeknight meals – sipping in natural wine bars

Pair it with... roast poultry – creamy risottos – grilled vegetables – anything buttery and savoury that calls for a bright wine counterpart

Farming & Vineyard

How the wine is made

Grapes were hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented with native yeasts in older oak barrels. The wine aged on fine lees for 11 months, gaining texture and depth. No fining, no filtering, no additives—just careful ageing and quiet balance. Final wine was made as a blend of multiple barrels of different ages and levels of toasting.

Fun Fact

This Chardonnay wears a collared shirt but refuses to button it all the way up. A little wild, a little polished—it's Herzánovi’s most elegant troublemaker.
