Welschriesling II is a small-batch, zero-zero white by Martin Vajčner, one of Central Europe’s wine rising stars. This cuvée comes from a sandy microlot in the upper part of the vineyard, vinified separately for its brightness and energy. A wine with roots—Martin’s family has worked with vines in Moravia since the 1600s.

What makes this wine special? Marked “II” for its single-barrel origin, it’s fermented with wild yeasts, aged in old oak, and bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulphur. Deep, foresty aromas—think rain-soaked leaves, truffle, wet earth—meet Welschriesling’s trademark acidity and elegant tension. A natural wine with real ageing potential.

This bottle is perfect for... earthy meals – slow weekends – fall cooking sessions with good friends.
Pair it with... rich fish – buttery sauces – poultry in creamy stews – or mushrooms, celeriac, and other umami-rich roots.
